Mary’s Square is Munich’s central square. Similar to other squares around Europe, Marienplatz is surrounded by buildings with great architecture and historical significance. Mary’s Square has been Munich’s central square since 1158.
In the past, it has been used as both a central market and an entertainment hotspot, host to many tournaments. The ambiance of Ancient Europe still infuses this square. History and architecture enthusiasts will greatly appreciate the place, but it will also take a regular spectator’s breath away because of the square’s inspiring atmosphere.
