A gallery of photos from the gay pride parade during the Munich Christopher Street Day!

Although Bavaria is often considered Germany’s most conservative corner, Munich itself is liberal to its core.
The gay and lesbian community is right at home here, and at no other time does that become more apparent than during the annual Christopher Street Day festivities.
Now extending over about nine days, Christopher Street Day reaches its mighty crescendo on the middle Saturday in July. A stage is set up in Munich’s central square, Rathausplatz, and lesbians, queens, camp boys and other queer folk take over.
There is also a gay pride parade through a section of Munich’s Altstadt (Old Town). Here is a gallery of photos of the event shared with a Creative Commons licence on the website Flickr. For more info, see the story here Munich Christopher Street Day.
