Oktoberfest beer prices

How much is a beer at the Munich Oktoberfest?

Oktoberfest beer prices are, just like Fourth of July fireworks, guaranteed to go up every year. And in 2019 a beer the festival will be more expensive than ever, costing between  €11.40 in some of the smaller tents and up to €11.80 at some of the bigger tents. Yes folks, that's US$13.32 for a beer!
The rises are partly due to the fact the beer tent owners have to pay more themselves to cover the increased security at the fest in the past couple of years.
You also have to make sure you add on another Euro or so as a tip, or the waitress or waiter who’s serving your table might not come back!
But if you think that’s too expensive, just remember, it’s a full litre of pretty strong beer (around six per cent) so most people find a couple is all they need to afford.

Also, bear in mind entry to the Oktoberfest grounds and tents is free, and they have to make their money somehow.

Alcohol-free bee generally costs the same as the alchoholic stuff, and Weißbier - wheat beer - costs a couple of euros more. Soft drinks are a little under €2 less than the beer prices given below.

Sometimes, though, they bring over a beer mug for you that’s clearly nowhere near full - this is probably because it’s been badly poured and there’s not a lot left after the nead has receded.
In this case, don’t be afraid to ask for a top-up.
